Nine years, two founders and a lot of crispy chicken — here's how Chain Order grew up.
Chain Order opened its first restaurant in Newcastle upon Tyne in 2017. We've been growing steadily — and stubbornly — ever since, opening one restaurant at a time and refusing to compromise on the food.

It started with a kitchen
Two friends, a 30-cover diner in Newcastle and an obsession with crispy chicken.

First franchise opens
Manchester goes live — proof the formula travels beyond the North East.

Delivery, fast
We launch the Chain Order app and partner with Uber Eats, Just Eat and Deliveroo.
- 2022
100 restaurants
Trinity Leeds becomes our 100th UK restaurant. We celebrate by giving away 100,000 free fries.

Plan for Change
We commit to 100% recyclable packaging by 2027 and publish our first Sourcing Report.
- 2026
200 strong
Bristol Cabot Circus pushes us past 200 UK restaurants. Onward.
